Mercator International analyzed the markets, infrastructure, volumes/revenues/costs, and operations of a U.S. West Coast terminal operator’s portfolio on behalf of a large infrastructure investment fund. Mercator focused particularly on two terminals – one in the Port of Los Angeles, which is undergoing conversion to full equipment automation, and another in the Port of Oakland. Mercator developed operating/financial models for both operations and assisted the fund in determining the projected earnings and financial value of the concessions.
